Attack move in 1.3

Was playing 1.3 last night.

I endeavored to attack move on a group of units.

My troops ended up killing a couple of the units, and then they sort of stopped firing.

But the enemy was firing on me.

This was annoying.

When I a-move, I expect my troops to engage more reasonably, and chase a bit once they do engage.

... not just stop attacking.

Don't know if this is an issue with 1.3 or a-move in general.

Played a game last night with 1.3 and also noticed little reaction from units right near by to the fighting.

I sort of wonder how attacking is supposed to work.

When I attack a node, my units do what I would expect (well... for the most part).

They attack the node, and wipe out its defenders, regardless of where the defenders move (and then, sometimes, my troops go wandering off to other nearby nodes, but we'll save that discussion for another time).

In contrast, when I a-move, I would expect similar behavior... follow and destroy the units that are reasonably in the trail... and pursue the ones that are engaged to a reasonable extent.

BUT...

Sometimes my troops don't engage as expected.

And then if I a-move onto a specific enemy target unit, my troops seem to blast that unit, and then some take a break, rather than engage the rest of the enemy mass properly.

So then the cat herding begins.

A bit goofy.

Moreover, when I a-move to a target dread (gotta kill those dreads!) it doesn't seem like the a-move visually locks on the target (more like next to it).

And then my troops don't always choose to target it directly (but most do).

Who knows...

But definitely something that needs some attention.

Seems like there might be some decisions to make about attacking and what it should do.

Relevant to the whole "stance" and "mode" thing recommended in another thread.
