Suggestions - More Data and Charts

I really enjoy Offworld Trading company but I wish that more charts and tables where availabe during the games. As a business economists, I found the lack of information daunting for a companies with such rapid expansion and production power.

 

It feels you are the only executives working there without a team. I don't particularly enjoy looking around the map and counting the number of farms an enemy players have. If I was a CEO I would have my underling do that for me and give me a nice report that get updated on a regular basis (preferably in real time) with nice charts and tables.

 

Hence, it would be nice to have a table that summarize all the key informations about myself, other companies and the colonies such as their production/consumption level, number of factories and mining, and etc.

 

I would also like to have a good chart tools to follows stock and product prices over time; the little grey spark charts under the prices are too hard to read and sometime too short to be able to figure out long-term trends.

 

Such addition would made the games significantly easier to play and learn. Indeed, trying to figure out what each of the small similarly looking building do at a glance is quite daunting and as a beginner make push the pause button a lots when playing against the AI just to wrap my head around what they are doing.

I respectfully disagree. While it is true a player could be more effective with more charts and numbers in front of him, we already have three panels to monitor closely pulling our eyes off the map. We're on Mars here, so there is something to be said for having a reason to be observing what is going on on Mars. Otherwise the game just turns into a purely economic game.
