Is there any new news about the new Star Control yet, or am i missing the main thread somewhere ?
Not recently it seems. The news section of this forum keeps track on those, and the latest isnt that fresh.
It's in development. It'll be many months before there's anything exciting to report to the general public.
Thats good, please don't let the game be rushed, take all the time that's needed, we must be willing to wait.
Yeah, I'm cool with the whole "please dont rush it" vibe... but I was a bit disappointed that lots of milestones that dev set were not met by months... we were supposed to see some form of progress like in February or something? It's now end of May.
Couldn't someone from Stardock come out with a bit more of a comprehensive update on the priorities and how things are tracking?
I'm content with Stardock taking as long as it wants to get it right and don't really have any firm expectations for project milestones, so long as they don't pull a Half Life 3.
Been waiting a quarter century for this franchise to come out of hibernation, so knowing that it's actually happening is good enough for me.
Star Control is, by far, the biggest project (in terms of manpower) at Stardock.
No rush, no rush! No (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I CHECK THIS SITE EVERY 24 HOURS I LOVE STAR CONTROL WITH ALL MY HEART NEED SUBSTANCE!!!) rush, no rush no rush!
Thank God you are giving it the attention it deserves. YES, please take all the time you need, and as much manpower as you need. Please give us the Star Control we all love and enjoy, make it a good quality game and pay the much needed homage that Star Control deserves.
