Also, maybe its my newness to the game but there is nothing quite as annoying as trying to take a creep camp early game and finding that my reapers all ran out of energy and just proceed to stare at the enemy ships mowing them down. Some may find this trade-off acceptable for the power, I find it frustrating that there is little warning of the COMPLETE loss of dps and general noob-trap nature of it. I've watched a couple streams and youtube videos where the player doesnt even recognize that his units aren't attacking until they all just mysteriously die or are reinforced.
it's just a noob trap.
once you get the hang of them you'll come to agree with me: they're completely OP
try this: send first engineer to convert the closest mass points node
queue up you next two engineers from main base
hold down shift and tell that first engineer to also grab the mass points there then come back to the base and build a factory there
tell the next two engineers to each build two mass points and then another factory each.
all three factories should complete at relatively the same time and should be able to run without stalling your eco
completing them may take you to a stall so take one engineer of the build que and put it back as soon as it's ok again.
(each factory will be set to build the laser t1 units put one in each factory's queue and set each factory's queue to loop)
with that each group of laser t1 should be able to fire about twice before they're stuck but since you're producing so many taking the next node (the reactives one) should be a piece of cake. the fresh ones will add the new firepower and finish the job.
as soon as you go over to capture said reactives node send en engineer to build the reactives extractor durring the fight. yes : durring. the creeps won't fire at it since they prioritize offensive units.
as soon as your first reactive extractor is built go to your three factories and add a power regen unit. so now it should be a 1-1 ratio of each on all three factories.
the rest should be a piece of cake. each group needs at least three of those power units and need not be bigger then 5-6 units total. you can capture all the maps nodes in a blitzkrieg this way.
you can also only start building more factories for bombers and only build bombers from here on out.
