Iconpackager for Windows 10 ???

Iconpackager for Windows 10 ???

ADMIN EDIT : IconPackager 10 is now available from www.iconzone.com and supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10.

I am very sure that some people have been asking in the past ..........

...... BUT .... would Stardock be Updating Iconpackager for Windows 10?

I really HATE Windows icons since day one LOL

Plus I want to use the icons to match with my Windowblinds 10 themes.

Indeed. We pretty much did that at the same time, and I've had no issues either.

Works well, and looks good. Has quite a few icon sets available.

There have been discussions about a future IP release but nothing concrete to announce right now.

Oh ... I am staying away from iconpacks ..... especially Skinpacks LOL

Major issues with any form of packs.

In case you weren't aware this is a description of IconPackager:

IconPackager

IconPackager is a program that enables users to apply "packages" of icons. When applied, all of your Windows icons can be changed at once.

Was only giving you an option. Up to you to decide if you wish to use it or not.

Quoting benmanns,

Quoting JuniorCrooks,

I would love to see IP for Windows 10 but to be honest you do not need it. There are other ways of making your Windows 10 default icons look appealing. Sorry but I do not understand  the reasoning behind the Stardock all or nothing approach. Tell me what is wrong with these icons besides the fact they may not be your taste. There are many others to choose from and yes I am using Windows 10.

I think most people would like a one click solution, if you found something like that [PM PLEASE]

There is a one click solution but most people will not want it because it is an exe file. Check out the work this guy has done. He has several icon packs for 10 and no doubt will be making more. I have used his stuff and feel safe about it. http://alexgal23.deviantart.com/

This is not a bad collection but he will probably be making more. http://alexgal23.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=%2F&q=icon+pack

.... the question is .... how do we know if the icon packs are alright with Windows 10 1511 built ? That was my major issue. I had to reinstall Windows 10.

I don't do icon packs of any kind. Used to have Iconpackager but that was a long time ago on W7. Now I have my docks, no icons on my screen and what's in the folders......doesn't bother me. WB10, Start10 and docks...yum!

i mean in the world of skinning/ custom desktops, you either skin it all... or you leave it all stock.... can't have a sweet windowblind and cursor and whatnot

I find this very funny. Maybe even silly.

I have zero icons on my screen. I use Fences.

WindowBlinds, WindowsFX, CursorFX, Start10, Winstep.....

They all are a VAST improvement over the stock Windows 10. Even without icons being skinned. I don't get the "all or nothing" attitude.

im not into fences and all that other stuff that just clutters up the screen, sure it looks pretty, but it's not for me.... all i want and use is iconpackager windowblinds and cursorfx.... and when i update to windows 10 and am not able to use these 3 programs with windows 10... then i won't use any of them at all...

thus stardock losing more business.... as i tend to buy a whole lot of premium skins and cursors and iconpackages.... (but im sure stardock really doesn't give a crap about what the people want anyways...)

Double click the screen, it all goes away. No ugly icons to look at.

To each his own....

so basically are you saying that they will not be making iconpackager compatible with windows 10? or is that still an unknown?

and also i have never tried that fences app you said you use.... i take it i can download a trial of it and check it out for a while right? maybe if i like it i will buy it....

but still iconpackager should be a must have also.....

I think there is a trial of Fences. But it won't be the beta version, which works well on 10. The last full release works pretty well on 10 for me as well.

When you get it installed, you can double click the desktop and hide all Fences/icons. Double click to bring them back. That way, no ugly icons on your screen. I like to look at a nice wallpaper. icons are only needed until you click one.

If you like a clean, uncluttered desktop, then Fences is for you.  It's a great way to keep things tidy and organized. (Plus, it gets updated on a fairly regular basis or as needed.)
