New Benchmark and MP Lobby Queries

New Benchmark:

I think we are getting this with the Beta right? Can you tell us a little more about it? I assume that it will be using the Substrate and be using the newer FX and textures but is there any more to it than that?

I would really like to see a graphic representation of the CPU cores and how hard they are working during the benchmark. This would a useful visualisation to show how hard the game pushes the CPU as well as the difference in core utilization between dx12 and dx11 and how well they scale with more CPU cores. Windows has something like this built in but it would be 10x more useful and immediately accessible if it were shown within the benchmark itself.

Possibly a similar thing for multi-GPU systems if possible as well.

Ashes' Skirmish/MP Lobby

I haven't seen any mention of improvements to this. Can you tell is if there will be any?

The main one I would like is to be able to look through the maps by mapsize and player count. Just having an alphabetical list is very unwieldy so only having that is just a temporary measure, right?

A higher resolution mini-map in the lobby, or the ability to click and enlarge it would be great too.

Is there a way to do a network benchmark? if we are going to have 7 v 7 games i already see a huge issue with people that have slower speeds messing up the games for other players of High speeds.?

Where did they say we would have 7vs7 battles? I've never seen that said any where.

On release it will be a max of 6 players, or 3v3 (with 1 observer), but they hope to gradually increase that number post-release. If we get to 7vs7 I wouldn't expect it for a while though. I imagine the numbers will go up in stages, primarily to make sure the tech works well in the wild so to speak, and also creates more excitement for different patches which offer bigger numbers of players. So the first time they increase the numbers I would guess it would be to 8 or 4v4. I could be totally wrong of course.

For 1.0, it'll max out at 6 players and 1 observer.  We plan to increase the max number of players to 14 in the future.
