Broken

Not playing the game again in its current state. Selling out of stock as it stands now is a cancerous mechanic. If I own my stock, and someone buys it and sells it, that stock goes back to being neutral. This allows someone else to swoop in and take it for half price, making it even easier for two people to gang up on one and take them out. The one can't effectively fight back, because selling out of a large amount of stock costs so much more time. A change needs to be made to this. I don't know if next_version's shift in how the last 5 protection works will fix it all, although it will obviously help. But the game is unacceptable in it's current state.

As a side note, I wouldn't mind an undo button for a claim that I could hit within like 5 seconds of taking a spot. Although I can always just aim better.

...why would you sell out of stock to help take out someone else? Player 1 just lost half his moeny on taht buy, which then someone else spent. Overall the price of the stock hasn't changed, it's just been shared between 2 people. That does not make it any easier or harder for you to get bought out, because players 2 could just have easily have saved up to buy the next stock. Being ganged up on would go just as fast or just as slow whether they sold out of you or not, because for the strength of the alliance as a whole the amount of money they spent between them for that stock does not change.

Unless I'm missing something here, it seems like there is no logical reason to sell stock to be able to give it to someone else, especialyl when that piece of stock prepresents  10% of the dividends. Any specific examples to show when this is a good move?

There's not much point discussing the No Buyout mode as we've already moved on from it internally to the version on next_version. I'd recommend just turning off No Buyout if you're not happy with it.

I'm ok with no buyout, I'm not for or against it. It's easier to gang up on someone, perhaps that's fine.

Beta 8 does suck in FFA mode.

Happily the Next_Version is looking very promising.

Didn't say it was a good move Gameslayer. But FFA in this game you'll often see people make bad moves that kill themselves and the person they're targeting. No need to provide more options for that. Also, I don't see much point in playing the original mode if it's going away, and multiplayer games in next_version being so scarce is what led me back to the current release. I'd love to see how much impact the changes in next version have on something like this, but that would require being able to find a game in that version.

It does feel less all the sudden then when you got bought out.
But i agree on your stock being bought and sold off again is very very unfair.
Also if you should get (perhaps a % oer perhaps it goes straight from your debt first before you receive cash) of the money when being bought. Because it's also when you are being bought off you are like a bleeding animal just sitting there like "do it already!".
