I have recently stumbled upon this game and have a question- 

 

If I spend the $39.99 on this game will I have to re-purchase the game upon its official release? Or will the game update to the full version upon its release date?

Buy it. It's a great game.

 

And no you will not have to repurchase as PB said. It "becomes" the final game.
