Auctions on resources that don't exist

I believe auctions can spawn resources that don't exist yet.

This can be rather annoying when you think you have a monopoly on a resource and then an auction pops up for that resource when there should be no more of it on the map. I understand why this might be desirable to prevent monopolies, but it can be rather confusing.

How exactly does that work?

i don't know the exact numbers, but if a resource is very sparse and all of it is already claimed, auctions have a very high likelyhood of spawning a new vein of it.

Those auctions are basically, "Disable a tile for the rest of the game. Only works against Jaiwera's tiles. Harmless against everyone else".
