faction power question.... large disparity

playing 131, med map vanilla, 5 AI, 2 minor, genius+1

First time i have seen this so just wondering

Turn 70 everyone is between 200-400 power EXCEPT 1 ai who is at 2500! Declared war on me and stomped me into star dust :'( .

Do others see such a large disparity that early in the game?

was it the drengin? were they the genius ai?

the drengin from what ive heard tend to be more military focused which is where a lot of power ranking comes from. combine that with the bonus's a genius level ai gets and the recent improvements to ai that might account for it

It was the thalan and they were on incredible. They were way ahead in every category
