[Beta 6] Resource consumption is not calculated correctly - [SOLVED]

No idea if that's something known by masses already, but I've just found out...

When you're running in negative resource production, its consumption is badly miscalculated. You can see this in Zultar's recent video at 14:46 (https://youtu.be/oWksPtKGz10?t=886). If you watch his water you can see he was only consuming 0.55 water/s but it jumped down way faster. From my tests I kinda felt it was tied to HQ level - the higher the HQ level the worse it gets, but I'm far from being sure. When production=consumption the stockpile goes up and down by the same amount, for example 36-39-36-39 etc... So if any of you felt like you're constantly broke in Beta 6 or accumulate the debt much faster - that might be one reason.  :|

I am guessing the water is being sent to his farms/reactors, but it doesn't necessarily do it smoothly. Could you post a video of a situation which shows it more clearly?

Here's the replay. Unfortunately, my computer barely runs the game, I wouldn't want to put it under additional stress with recording.

Please watch my iron.

At HQ lvl 1  everything seems fine. I produce 2 iron/s and consume 2 iron/s.

I bought 47 iron after I had upgraded to lvl 2 and placed a third steel mill. Immediately I started losing iron fast even though the new steel mill has not been constructed yet.

After a few seconds (iron went down to 37) the situation 'stabilized' itself and my iron goes back to 39. And then to 37 again and back and forth...

When third mill is finally done (-1 iron/s in total), at the beginning it updates once per two game ticks instead of every tick, but after a while (21 units and below) it catches up and starts updating every second, just with wrong numbers. It goes from 21 to 17, to 19, to 15, to 17, to 13, to 15 again etc. Btw, when you're in positive production everything is normal.

Looks ok to me. You do see that each building maintains a little stockpile of its input resource (Iron for Steel Mills) to make sure it doesn't stop working as soon as you run out of the resource. Thus, when the third Steel Mill is created, it takes away 10 Iron to fill up that Steel Mill with Iron and then tries to maintain that level. (You can see the iron in a Steel Mill by mousing over it.)

Now I can't believe I haven't noticed that before. I always assumed that maintenance resources were just maxed out if adjacent to supplying buildings or HQ, Seeing the numbers jump up and down without any decent order threw me off completely. Which is another evidence of how many things you need to pay attention to. Thanks for your speedy reply and clarification, Soren.
