Drengin message about spying, but they don't exist anymore

After the Drengings were beaten by me ..i played further to beat other races in their galaxy territory.

Got a message from Drengings about spying ... ?..they should at this point in the game not existing anymore, because they are not showing up anymore on the diplomatic screen.

Can this be a bug?

Also ..the game is hanging sometimes.. i experienced it a few times ..
