Various bugs and annoyances

Nice job Stardock for the fresh take on the game. A few issues I've run into, playing the v1.1 game:

  1. I can't complete the dwarves "frozen settlers" quest. After I hand over the papers I get to the next screen which doesn't have any buttons to select.
  2. Half the time I don't see any of the particle effects in battle. Animations etc work, but for instance I don't see flying arrows or webs being flung.
  3. I hate the cloud walk dialog. I'd like to view the armies I can cloud walk, not every unit I have.
  4. I've put an enchanted dwarven axe on keplin the mage. This should not be possible, right? In general equipping heroes doesn't seem to work in a consistent and predictable fashion. This is one of two things that really affects my gameplay.
  5. The other is enchanting. If I want to enchant the gear of units in a particular stack, it is really difficult to separate the paladins in that stack from any other paladin.
  6. Wish the map generation could be controlled at startup time.
  7. I have ingredients that can't be used for anything. For instance harbinger's last breath.
  8. Would be nice to be able to see how many shards are feeding into a particular city.
  9. Enemy units don't really do anything in an organized fashion. They just wander around, and once in a while run into you. Then you fight. Could they be made just a bit more directed?
  10. On my map I see several destroyed shards. But in my report I see only one destroyed shard. I don't understand this.
  11. Speaking of which, in the latest game I played I didn't get any shards being attacked notifications.
  12. EDIT: Peregan the Ranger's quickfire ability is worse than useless. Can I disable it?

I'm afraid I can't send the save file or any other info right now, I've had a botched Win 10 upgrade and am having to restore my computer from scratch.
