Attributes and their Potential Display

Ya know, the attributes you pick up through the quests? Courage, cowardice, scoundre, etc?

I saw on Tom Chick's forums that Brad said that "beta testers didn't want this information displayed". I don't remember that discussion ever being had here, but I would like to tell those "beta testers" that they're wrong. Information, all of it, that affects gameplay should *always* be displayed when possible.

I can't find it now, but I know of at least two beta testers, myself and another, that made the argument for this information to be accessible somewhere. Leaving it out for the "sense of immersion" is quite silly.

I'm guessing that Brad wasn't talking about us when he said that, but rather some internal beta testers, as I follow these forums daily and have never seen an argument made against that information being displayed. My suggestion moving forward would be to poll the greater group on things like that. I can guarantee that you would have had support for that information being displayed.

Anyway, what's next? Release today, expansion in the Winter? ;)

Is DLC free to Founders like it is with other titles? Not that I'd mind paying for it!

Agreed.  Not only would i like to see my numbers but it would also be great if someplace explained the resulting effect(s) of each.  I have no idea why they keep numbers like this concealed form the player.   maybe we can ask brad on today's stream

I like not knowing.
Making choices because I am role-playing, not because I am a gamer/accountant is how I roll.

Having it an option might be acceptable too.

An option would be fine with me.  It is just very easy to lose track of you primary "leaning".  To that end it would be nice to know things about the mechanism; e.g. i start natural, i get 1 courage, if i next get 1 cowardliness am i back to natural OR does the game make decisions based on the running total of a particular attribute?      It would also be great to know the effects of each attribute, even if only in general terms  e.g scoundrel makes it easier/harder to ally with faction a/b.

I'd like a little more information to some extent but maybe just having a box that tracks the raw numbers.

It'd be nice to know what those numbers do for you because right now they are very opaque and not necessarily in a good way.
