Beta 5.51 has brought upon the first crashes-to-desktop that I've seen. I would've brushed them off, but my friend is having them, too.
Anyone else?
Jusst finished 4 hours on 551. no crashes BUT i was finishing a 550 save game. Will start a new 551 and report back
I've been having crashes for the past few versions (including this build).
I've even (rarely) had a shut-the-machine down crash (after a loud noise). Most of the time (every 4 or 5 battles) it says "dx error" then crashes to desktop. Mostly in tactical - particularly when I hover over an ability bottom at the bottom left.
Sadly, I can't finish a game (the final SK battle consistently crashes - I tried it 7 times in a row). Sent info to tech support who says they passed in onto devs but it hasn't gotten fixed.
Would hate for them to ship a game I can't finish. I've had no similar problems with any other game (except heavily modded skyrim which always eventually crashes of course)
I just finished a game today without a crash but I ran into an issue with my army getting messed up when I went home to my city. I also had a problem with mana from kills items and things spawning on death.
I am thinking that the crafted items in battle can potentially conflict. The good news is that any time the game crashes, your report comes to us so we can find out the issue very fast.
