Unable to centre attack with Rain of Arrows

I reported this problem in the Steam forum but as far as I can see, with 5.5, it is still there.

If I want to centre this attack on a tile with a feature such as a rock or tree stump etc. it will not allow me to do so..."Target tile is blocked".

I have also seen this with the attack-3-adjacent-enemies, where if you have an enemy at positions 8 and 6, and a rock at position 9, you cannot use this ability. 

I assume this is true for all abilities, which need to target a tile, and tile is occupied with a rock etc., the target is invalid. 

 

The same thing happens with the restor land-spell, which is more or less useless as you need a 3x3 patch of land, which is empty (no units, shards, huts, treasure chests etc.) and does not contain a single tile of shadowland. As someone else suggested make this is a 1x1 or maybe even a 2x2.

You're right, that is kind of an annoying restriction with those type of targeting spells.  I have this fixed internally.  Once it gets the 'ok' from QA we'll put it in a future build.

EDIT: I should say that I've specifically fixed it for square-radius-type spells/abilities (Rain of Arrows) and 3-tile-adjacent type spells/abilities (such as the soldiers Cleave ability).  If there are other ones I should look at, leave me a list and I'll find some time to debug/fix them.

OH! That SK badge is new, isn't it? Does it only happen when posting directly from this forum?

 

edit: checked from the FE forums and it seems my GC3 founder badge disappeared from my posts there, so I assume founders badges only show when posting from their respective forums now?
