Why can't i see tile yields 5.5 and back

Sometimes you can see fertile tile yields, sometimes you can't.  makes no difference what type of unit you select or where you are

Correct, I can confirm this. Sometimes tileyields just disappear and reappear.

I can't find them when trying to place a settlement with a pioneer, but when a city upgrades, they seem to appear in abundance.

Only tile yields with Food appear on the map.  Upgrade tile yields show when the city can pick a new tile.  Is this the issue, or something else?

I have had food tiles not showing up also.   Its an issue (minor?) because initial placement can greatly impact how fast you can achieve your goals or prevent you form setting down in a spot where one full side  has nothing but crappy tiles

The problem is that the tiles that have yields do not (always) show them. Even when they are not shown, if you know they are there, then you still can found a new city there. They disappear from both the normal world map and from the cloth map.

This is a bug that should be known by SD (and especially by Scott) since there have been multiple postings about it (example:[Bug] Beta 5 Opt-in: Disappearing fertile tiles.) and i have asked Scott (more than once) about it in the dev stream. He confirmed that the bug is on the bug list (in the dev stream of april 1 - hope it was not an aprils fool joke on us).

This is a major bug, because if you are not aware of the existence of the bug then you believe you can not create new cities, or you create sub optimal cities. This will confuse new players, and with release coming soon there will be new players.

Just cofirmed food tiles NOT showing up.  Had a spot to start new city, when first found i couls see tile yields .... not all but several, all visible had some food + other stuff, others food only.  when i got there with a settler NO tile yield were visible.  Had to just go to a spot where i knew food was and settle.

"Food only" is not enough for deciding where to plant a new settlement. Knowing about production and essences is crucial to winning the game.

What LuckyJack  Said  .    Please please put it on your list. not game breaking but a real pain

Unfortunately we won't get this in for 1.0, but a good candidate for an early patch. Seems like it might be nice to show tile yields in the upper right hand corner tile info display, whenever you're on a tile within expansion radius of a settleable tile.

I came across this yesterday in a game I had just started.  The icons were there, then they weren't.  I loaded an autosave and found I could always reproduce the disappearance by opening and closing the city screen for Athica.  If I opened and closed the city screen for Avalan, the icons remained.  If I did anything else, the icons remained and they stayed until the city screen for Athica was opened and closed, then the icons were gone.  Well, most of them were.  The icons with only food were the ones that disappeared.  The icons with food and production remained.

Ticket #IAZ-989-16980 submitted with the save.
