Still No UP Meeting.

Ok folks, I have to admit. I'm starting to get concerned. I have been playing since the week before release, sometime around May 10th. I have NEVER experienced a UP meeting. Now, I know I'm supposed to wait till I meet half the factions and I use over 40 factions. I've never met half. Today, I played a "soak" game. I also used "FOW," to meet everyone. Turn 180...NO UP at all. It doesn't exist. Am I doing something wrong? Does the UP not exist if you use ALL custom factions? 

Anyone who can help...please!

The UP doesn't happen in Soak games. There has to be at least one human.

Good to know.  On that hand, it would be interesting for all AI to follow the human rules of "meeting half of the races" to join the UP.  It would be far more interesting for the UP to have already met and elected a chairperson by the time you come to the UP.  You might even get upset, if they have even already passed a resolution which you have to abide by (and possible pay for).  I imagine this is how it works for multiplayer.  Or, once one human can join the UP, are all admitted?

Thank you for the info Vidz. By the way, I read in a post about "UP research tech." Do we have to research down the diplomacy tree before we can join?

Not at all. Those techs do make being the UP leader more powerful, however, although since the list of resolutions you get is always random, it's not as helpful as you'd think.

Soak is a console command that makes the AI play against itself.

UP can happen at any size game there could be 6 factions in game, when you meet 3 of them the UP will meet a few weeks later (usually on a 10 turn, never have I had one meet on anything else)  Then on very frequent (the most they can meet) they will meet every 20 turns until game ends or you defy the UP.  The thing is the more factions you have in your game the more factions you have to meet prior to the UP meeting.  So if you have a 100 faction game you need to meet 50 of them prior to any of this happening.

Okay in my current game started with patch v 1.1 the UP is not meeting I have met 50 or more races over 20 turns ago now I'm up to 73 races and the UP hasn't met yet.  According to everything that has been said by the devs this should be meeting after 50% or more of the races have met has this changed?  The save game is the same attached to my support ticket as well as the one I posted in another post for long turn times for Derek.  It's just about 10 turns after that.
