5.4 FOW bug

Strange problem with FOW. Everything was fine, saved & quit. when i came back to game ~90% of FOW was gone and what was left formed a straight line on the left side of map. Save available

I've had this happen multiple times and honestly, it is probably among the most annoying of bugs for me now. Nothing ruins a good save like negating the need for any scouting at all. A large part of the fun is in the discovery. Please fix this, guys
