5.3 - Bug - Spider attack!

I noticed this before but I don't think I reported it.

The spider's DEVOUR attack SHOULD be a melee attack (unless you can explain how they can devour something from across the field), but it seems to be a missle attack instead.. apparently, they can devour from the other side of the combat field... which is nonsensical.
