To Whom it may Concern,
I love this game and recently read that there will be only one more update to it. I decided to report as many bugs as I could before the final update.
- AI units can double stack, I witness this mostly with archers. Other examples include: all Butcherman type units, including Butcherman, Forsaken Martyr, Amhan and possibly others.
- Yithril pioneers can use the Berserk special but they do not receive an attack bonus, shouldn’t they?
- The Ironeers range units always use their special, even when it doesn’t make sense to do so.
- Trog archers appear in Yithril settlements under attack. Trogs can’t train archers, should these archers be replaced with militia?
- In one of the castle maps defending archers can more beyond where player controlled troops can travel. If you don’t bring ranged units or a magic user you cannot win without auto finishing the battle. The map is the one with 4 Guardian Statues in a harbour.
- Caster’s Staff and Haunter’ Staff have the same traits.
- Enemy Heroes can’t seem to use the First Aid spell (shouldn’t this really be a skill?) They seem to try to use it, but it fails.
- Belt of Speed, once researched, shows up in Unit Design, but not in shops, shouldn’t also appear in your own shops?
- When an enemy Sovereign tells you leave their territory or they will declare war, why are you forced out even if they declare war?
- As a follow up, why are you forced out of enemy territory when you declare war on a Sovereign?
- In a final settlement battle against a custom faction the Sovereign did not fight in the battle but I still got the Empire Destroyed message.
- Furthermore, after the Empire Destroyed icon appeared there was one unit in the field from the destroyed empire and on the right side menu, the one that lets you know of new developments, I received a message that I had trained that unit, which was an enemy unit. I suspect the settlement was a turn away from training the unit when I took it over and for some reason I finished training their unit, doubly odd since their empire was destroyed.
- Several times I conquered a settlement that had buildings from the settlement surround a resource, but I could not develop (build) that surrounded resource. Examples include: clay pit, crystal crag and fruit grove.
- Trade caravans continue to operate from the capital settlement taken over from an enemy faction. Should they continue operate, even if I don’t have a trade agreement with the 3rd party sovereign?
- Sometimes circles of magic, which surround heroes with several spells cast on them, stay on the map after the hero moves along the map to a new location.
- The end of the Assassin’s Blade Quest can be triggered by any treasure square, not just the specific one that started the Quest.
- When defending a settlement from successive battles in a single turn, at least in conclave settlements, the city defenders (the troops that cannot be moved out of a settlement) will only participate in one battle, even if they survived the previous battle.
- On occasion I received Chain Coff Loot from beating Sanjo’s troops. Once 6 times in a row. Is this a bug?
- The hero Bibiyana’s skill Demonic Ally is unaffected by equipping a Ring of the Calling, shouldn’t that ring raise the summoned demon’s level by one?
- If you build an elemental shrine after summoning an elemental of matching attributes, its level does not raise. For example if I summon a level 3 ice elemental and then build a water shire the elemental does gain a level but if I were to re-summon it, it would be in level 4. Is this intentional?
- Near the end of the game I have received the message that I have killed a hero in battle (on the victory screen the hero did not receive an injury, but instead under their icon it reads “killed,” however, they are still alive.
- Towards the end of the game sometimes random units pop up in territory not controlled by anyone, including heroes who cannot be spoken with. You can fight them though, once killed they disappear. However, multiples of the same hero can show up, the last game I played had at least 6 Sullene heroes on the map. Other heroes included Ritresra, Liniad, Jordur the Giant and others
- Torax the elemental lord, when resisting Dragon Fear the word resisted pops up several times
- The Remnats of Inferno square cannot be accessed even after beating Delin Pyre of Man
- Knights (the hero class you can train that requires 20 fame) can learn Tinker and Chain Mail Proficiency and Plate Mail Proficiency, but can’t equip any of these items.
- Undead are not immune to fear, but they are supposes to be.
- The following enemies have no description (I love the in game descriptions, they make it feel as if Elemental has a rich history)
- Obsidian Legion
- Malayon Devilman
- Varkona (a dog from a Quest)
- Wisp
- Hergon
- Hergon Sow
- Gilden Lion
- Free Rider Sentry (from Assassin’s Blade Quest)
- Shop Keeper (from Assassin’s Blade Quest)
- Free Rider Skirmisher (from Assassin’s Blade Quest)
Again, thanks for making a great game! I’m sure I’ll love Sorcerer King!
