Will there be random map generation for skirmishes vs. AI? Applies to both single player and co-op. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before.

Will player-created maps be shared through the Steam workshop?

For the Founders, we're going to stick to 3 specific maps.

Much of the alpha process will be to find out what a good balance is.  Like, how much metal and how many radioactives do we need for it to be fun.

So for example:

We've been making the maps so that you have a starting region and a "natural" expansion region (similar to Starcraft).  But from teh natural you can have several other regions that connect to it (ala Company of Heroes).  But we aren't set on these rules.

The seed region only has metal deposits. The natural currently has 1 radioactive in it which is enough to start doing a bit of T2 but not enough to build the big stuff.

So, eventually down the road, do you have an idea where you are leaning with regard to random map generation?

Eventually we want random map generation. Yes. :)
