So, I am playing a race with Patriotic & Synthetic.
Patriotic tells me, that the race is IMMUNE to size-related disapproval and Synthetic makes it easy to keep every Colony at 100.
Yet, I still see global approval (upper right corner of screen) drop regularly... first from 100 to 99 and now to 98...
WHY?!?
And now it jumped back to 99 for no discernible reason.
Somebody please help me!
patriotic removes the approval penalty for how many planets you have in your empire. The more planets the more disapproval. If you're talking about your empire's overall approval I assume it moves up and down due to various planets' morale going up and down. So a few planets with 98 moral could bring down the 100%.
Approval is a function of [approval score / population]. A lot of things can factor into your approval score. For you, number of planets is not one of them. Everything else still is, so you can still have a less-than-perfect approval.
the biggest drivers are the large empire penalty which doesent affect you atm and population vs morale
if your approval is going up and down its probably due to you running assembly and then filling a colony ship
If you select the planet list you should be able to scan all your planets fairly quickly to see which planets are not at 100% then go to that planets colony management screen and hover over the approval icon it should tell you why the people arent happy
