Hey guys. I just was entering another mid-late game phase on an insane sized map and I had a question for others who like to play really large maps.

What do you do with ships you find from anomalies?

If your experience is similar to mine, by late early game, you are designing your own ships heavily and very rarely using a core ship. Core ships just can't get anywhere fast enough. So, as you are collecting anomalies, and you find all these core ships, what do you do with them? I tried attempting to keep upgrading them for a few games, but I was finding so many it was beginning to be a drain on my treasury. Now I pretty much ship them to the nearest planet or starbase and have them act as a defending fleet.

Does anyone do anything different?
