B5+ doom-day counter nerfed too much from B4

After Several games (all different sovereigns) with B5+ i have never gotten the   doom-day counter above ~25%, despite trying really hard (threat level 4-5, attacking SK outposts, expanding ..); and not doing anything overt to reduce it (e.g. lower doomsday spell). In B4 the counter was almost always 50-75% by mid-early late game.

Side note: my cities appear to attached more frequently than in B4 but by roving bands (bandits and the like), NOT by SK armies (suspect this is related to the doom-day counter issue).  I am totally OK with this increase, makes proper city build up/defense planning more interesting.

The Doomsday counter in its current form does not put any time pressure on me- I feel like I have all day, and always have since Beta 1.

It needs to go up pretty rapidly, or the AI needs to target shards a lot more effectively.

Agreed,  I never felt any time pressure in previous betas either, but at least the counter reached 50-75%  now it hardly climbs at all.  And i do everything i can to piss the SK off

We've seen some intermittent issues with Shards not getting attacked by the SK forces.  Are you having the same problems in your games?

Yes.  Just beat the Gliden map on insane difficulty.  Only recall shards being attacked 3 times and none were destroyed

Thanks for the info, I think that's at the heart of the problem.

We found the issue and it will be fixed in the upcoming patch.
