I am really excited by this game, and so far it looks very good. I have been waiting a long time for a game similar to M.U.L.E. I used to spend hours playing that with my family on an Atari 800. This has many hallmarks of that game fused into a RTS framework.

You know that first screen in M.U.L.E., where you're trying to hit the trigger/spacebar to get a good plot, and deciding where the good plots are at the same time? That's the pace of this game most of the way through. I guess its like MULE and Starcraft had a baby, maybe.
By the way, if you're looking for a blast from the past, planetmule.com has a remake of MULE.
I love the mechanic of getting an additional claim if you wait. Very much a risk vs. reward.
I just purchased this game last night..went through the tutorials, and am now trying the campaign, on the dead easiest setting.
I knew that watching cubit32's 100 or so videos on youtube would come in handy!
Haha, I just bought this game and was thinking exactly the same thing. I had many epic battles with my mates on M.U.L.E in C64 days.
Who knows, this game may even cure me of COH (v1).
