Two heal spells? Really?

So, I just found out that with B4, the heal spell comes in a strategic and tactical variety.

IMO, it's really not necessary, and is easily exploited. If a unit or two needs to be healed in-between tough battles or monsters, and you only have the tactical heal spell, just pick a fight with a weak enemy monster and dance around them while casting the needed heal spells, and then just finish them off when you're ready.

Maybe just increase the manna cost for a heal spell instead of turning it into two.

You don't have to research both spells separately - both are unlocked at the same time.  Was that the basis for concern?

Same here.  I have Tactical Heal but not Strategic Heal.  3 spells later, I was offered the choice to learn Strategic Heal, but I took Tutelage instead.  It has not reappeared, so I still don't have it.

Tandis, medium random, etc.

On a side note, Heal should also scale by level.  Maybe +1 per.

That's so weird - the data looks right (the only spell that should appear in the spellbook is the Strategic one, which auto-unlocks the Tactical one). Will investigate.

 mgpiffle: Looking at the data it should already scale at a rate of + 3 per shard.  We don't really use the concept of 'Level' for Sovereign Spells - just for Unit Abilities.

Confirming two spells. Just finished researching the Heal spell (tactical) and definitely do not have it in strategic. About 10 turns later the Heal spell (Strategic) popped up in the spell book as a spell to research. Seems that is the way it has been through all the betas so far.

It seems to me, that when I research the Strategic version it also gets me the Tactical version, but when researching the Tactical version it does NOT give you the Strategic version (probably because the Tactical version showing up is an error).
