Crashing quite a bit when dealing with these worlds.
I crash (100% chance) on the building screen when I click on "Idle Colony" and it takes me to a barren world.
I crash sometimes if I click on the "Govern Planet" button on a barren world.
Radioactive and aquatic worlds work fine for some reason though.
Tried verifying via steam and it didn't detect any problems.

Sugget to submit a support ticket by following the information below.
There have been worlds that would crash if I did stuff with them, or even just looked at them funny. I tried to figure out why it was doing that, but I couldn't figure it out to my satisfaction (to figure out how to make it crash 100% of the time). If the common problem is that they are barren worlds, then that helps a great deal. I just checked and those worlds that were giving me grief are indeed the barren type.
This is funny. I have finally gotten time and motivation to develop a larger empire. I have just gotten Extreme Colonization. And I run into a CTD and here it is on the forum.
I had indeed just colonized a Barren planet as my first Extreme planet. I had also just finished a Barren World focus tech. Did everyone else pick barren world focus? It crashes while looking at that initial colony screen. I opened the auto save and took it through the same steps and it repeated the crash. I have a save just before saying yes to the colonization prompt.
Let me know if you need yet one more support ticket on the issue.

Don't know if this helps narrow the cause, but it seems that (at least for me) the crashes only occur on barren worlds if I mouse over the barren world icon on the planet screen.
