This is great! Thanks for doing this!

I can't wait for November. I really, really want to see the way minors affect the game!

Dungeon Master world system? Drool.

Is it your plan to convert/transfer many of the items/quests etc from LH into this game?

Most of them wouldn't make sense.  We see LH having a different path.

Please consider letting us test developer builds through an opt-in beta. I'm always interested in stuff like that and I know others are, too!

Lots of cool features yet to go in, I like.

  • Dungeon Master world system added (Everything you do in the game feeds data to the DM that may come back to help or hurt you later, variables will be listed in the Quest screen)

Is that essentially a random event generator?

Sounds like a good plan.

I'm having a lot of fun playing now and I can't wait for all the new stuff to be added. ^_^

This game looks really cool, I wish I could play it.  It looks like you guys have looked at all the random ideas that we Elemental forum troglodytes have posted over the last 4 years and made a game inspired by them.

It's a generator but it's trying to not be too random.

That's cool. Just the way it was worded reminded me of some of the random events from GC2 and FE - if you started to expand too quickly for example, the game would toss out a "random" event to slow you down a bit.

Will there be a workshop, especially for (tactical & world) map creation ? Maybe a particle effect generator for cool spells ? :D

Thanks for the great feedback!

I can't wait to get the minor factions in there. There's just so much interaction between them, you, the world.  They're NOT like minor factions in any game we've done before. They're designed to be very very unique to themselves.

Will we get any incremental patches between the major beta states listed in the OP?

Definitely.

This sounds great, Frog. I'm really looking forward to them. I know hindsight is 20/20, but maybe having them ready to go for the initial EA would have been best, especially since they're so integral to gameplay and the world.

Do you have a public Steam account?

Also, any chance you would be interested in a podcast interview over Skype? Would love to hear your thoughts on SK and where you see it going. I could provide you the questions beforehand.

Skype AND Steam? I just added you.

Any chance you would be interested in talking next weekend about Sorcerer King through a recorded podcast interview through Skype?

Our first podcast already has over 100 listens! It's not much, but there is an audience for it and I'd love to hear your thoughts on where you want to see Sorcerer King when it's done and what makes Sorcerer King different.

Bottom line: talk to me. Nerd out with a couple 4X game fans. It can't hurt, right? :)
