will god rays/sun shafts be implemented in game? for like combat viewer or anything?
I’m not sure God rays make sense in space, where the particle density is so low. Expect possibly in dense nebulas or inside a planetary atmosphere.
Please be very careful about such special affects, or with wishing for them. You may be very sorry if you get what you wish for,
"Star Trek" and "Star Trek: Into Darkness" went so far overboard with the idea of light reflections and refractions that they made the movies a pain to watch.
What if god rays were a option that could be toggled
I think if they were toggled, then some will find the extremes of on/off would be unsatisfying, I think if I had a slider for them I would be able to find a level that looked "right" to me.

I think that if you go back and watched any star trek movie (or show) with a half-critical eye - they would also cause you great pain and suffering...
... I personally don't believe anyone watching with a "critics eye" is actually watching. If someone like that was watching something I made I believe its impossible for them to try to have fun watching it as a fair viewer looking for fun. If someone can't be quiet during a film its not because the production is bad, but the person watching just isn't the right audience.
Even my brother doesn't like some of the plot lines I write. lol
