Planetary Salvage...

1500 credits? Thats... it???

We're talking a whole planet here.  Should be getting at least enough to buy four or five capital ships.

More valueable planets will give you a lot more. But yeah, blame the multiplayer pros who abused the heck out of Stripped to the Core and rushed it to get uber fleets.

Stripping planets really isn't about getting resources, it's about denying them to your enemy...it's not just an economic tool, it's also got tactical value that is very hard to put a price on...even if you got NO resources from stripping planets, it would still be useful...

No, stripping planets is never useful. As usual Seleuceia is wrong again. Care to upload a replay or a screenshot confirming your outlandish claims?

Is there a mod that enhances this ability? 1500 minerals is just too little to make it worth it. I understand the multiplayer aspect, but I only play single player.

I believe it's set in the planet entity files.

Yeah I can see how this would lead to problems in MP.

It'd be easy strip planets, rush a super fleet, and win.

It depends some, too, on how much time it'd take to produce those resources just by holding it and how contested (ie, risk of losing it over and over) it is.
