Summer’s first supermoon tonight!

Yes! We have a perigee moon. So, the second will occur on August 10th and the third on September 9th.

On average, though they appear once every 13 moths and 18 days…so this year we’ve had a bumper crop!

The moon will be 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual.

To make it seem truly giant, catch it on the rise on the horizon.

To calculate your moonrise and moonset simply go here: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/moonrise.html\

For me it’ll be 9:07 pm.

Happy spooning, moon gazing and picture taking!
