Steam Summer Sale 2014

It's no secret the Steam Summer Sale will be arriving soon, and I've been reading threads on other forums about it.  I've added a bit of money to my Steam wallet, but there really isn't anything I can think of that I'm really waiting for a big sale to hit.

I'm probably forgetting about a few games and I'll remember them if I see them, but I still have a backlog from past sales, so I'm just going to wait and see what get put on sale.

Is there anything you are wanting to grab in the sale?

Nope. Just about the same boat as you.

Definitely going to pick up that Assassin's creed: pirates ahoy game.

That new god-game from Populous also.

Castle Story, not sure it's on Steam though.

Brutal Legend, never got around to playing it.

The X-com expansion if it goes down to a 10'er.

Remember Me, looks interesting.

I'll be picking up the complete Half-Life 2... finally.

Castle Story

It's on steam. Although, the development has been rather slow.

Not sure I'll have any money for these sales, but

The Witcher

Assassins Creed

Not sure about much else, I've got a lot of games that I haven't really played that I've collected thus far. Probably should finish them before I start up with new ones.

The Steam Wallet can be a good thing.  I'll drop $5 or $10 here and there, so it'll add up and I'll use that for a sale.

I'm at the point where these sales rarely do much for me.  Everything old I want, I have.  Everything new I already paid for, won't be on a big enough sale this time to get me to buy, or already has been on sale and I bought.

I am considering Rise of Nations Extended, for the good old times, if there is a right price indeed.

Me old school Ghost Recon 1, Rise of Nations, Street Fighter 4, Xcom UFO Defense, Payday 2 dlc, Mirrors Edge, Dark Souls 2, Rainbow Six 3, (would like to get Watch Dogs but I doubt the sale will go 50%+) and Goat Simulator.

Where did you guys see a list of things on sale? Can't seem to find it via steam or google.

The sale hasn't started yet.

Right, but people have been listing games so I assumed these were games they knew were going to be on sale.

No, just hoping.

Well the Steam sales finally up... Now lets see if I can get my wishlist done. Dark Souls 2 is 33% off, wonder if it will get 50%+?

Also GOOO BLUE TEAM! SUCK IT RED!

Didn't get anything on the first day.  Not too much I wanted, or already had.

Complete X-com for 16.49. I thought about Day Z, but its an MMO and i really never enjoyed them in the end. The idea is stellar, its just that it involves playing with human beings which exemplify the saying "everyone's an asshole." :)

My wish list:

Dead State
Wasteland 2
Endless Legend
Godus
Arcane Worlds
The Forest
Murdered: Soul Suspect
DayZ(if it becomes much cheaper than 15% off)

What is the benefit of steam wallet besides an extra minute taken out of purchasing games/dlc/etc.?

Right, but you don't gain interest on that correct? No one else can use it. What's the difference of just buying the game you want without using the steam wallet? Same price  and so forth. Not as an argument against steam wallet, just curious if I am correct.

It might be a tool for him to help plan the budget for his game purchases. There is also the possibility that he purchased any of the myriad "Steam gift cards" for a better than dollar per dollar ratio.

Wasteland 2 is on sale for 33% off...early access. So its now down to $40, for early access. Disappointment. : / I believe its going to be 30 bucks when it comes out. I'll buy it then. Alas.

You get steam dollars when you sell steam cards, so there's that. (e.g. you may have 2-3$ in your wallet which isn't enough for a whole purchase but why not use it?)

The Skyrim sale is funny, you're kinda screwed if you only need 1 DLC. Guess dragonborn has to wait. Wonder why they didn't make the DLCs 75% off :S

Everytime i see age of empires 2 HD on sale i am tempted by it, but i have yet to do so.
