Since we are going to have characters... can we please be able to customize fighters/strike craft?

Mind - explode. Literally :)

 

Granted - I was prettty sure in Gal Civ 2, the smallest class of ship was a fighter-class... perhaps those will be the ones that you can flag as "carrier strike craft" - Then youd simply when you create a carrier you'd be able to say add 5 hangers, each of which can hold 10 of your smallest designs or so. :)

last info on carriers is that you can customize the strike craft, pretty much like you suggest. (except you don't flag ships as interceptors, the carrier (module) will have a drop down list with all suitable ships)

Edit it. Wait, don't do it! I liked the curiosity I felt when I saw characters instead of carriers. It was like I missed something important about characters and I want others to experience the same irony as I. :)

Endless space has Hero Characters. That game is ....meh. I dislike the star paths I am forced to travail but it makes for interesting ways to set up choke points. I REALLY REALLY like our game allows us to move anywhere in any direction. This is such an outstanding feature of the Gal series that it always brings me back!
