Can't see anything on the main map

I just got the alpha installed and everything looks good until the game starts.  Nothing appears on the main map (it's just blank) if I move the mouse around the map the status window will appear but nothing else.

I double checked my video drivers and everything is up to date. I also tried setting all the video settings to minimum without any luck.

I'm running an ATI Radeon HD 3300 (not the best) and Win 7 64 bit,

 

Any ideas?

I also have same issue. However my laptop is running a crappy intel HD graphics 3000 gpu. Everything else meets, or exceeds min specs. All drivers, and direct x up to date.

Thanks Major.  It may be time to look into either upgrading my video, or taking over my daughter's computer for this (she has a newer system than I do).

I posted the same problem yesterday, and had similar "me too" replies.  Hope they get this fixed or at least identified and get us a status report.
