Kraxis late game keeps crashing when autosaving

Been playing a fun game as Kraxis, now it's down to just me and Ythril.  The game keeps crashing on autosave.  I was able to get past the crashing by turning off autoturn.  Now I just crashed again doing manual turn.  It definately seems to happen when I think the game is autosaving.

 

I can't really live without autosave, is there anything else I can do?  Maybe I"m clicking turn too fast too often and the other threads aren't catching up?

It might be one of the issues that have been on the forums recently. The 1.5 patch has some fixes for end of turn crashes that people have been reporting according to Derek. Do you have the debug.err and saved game for this crash? Check the FE support forum stickies for the prefered method to report the bugs for Stardock to take a look at it.
