WOW. I completely forgot about the trailer for GC1. Now I remember seeing it, first in pieces, then in one piece. The little girl with the teddy bear really impressed me, and is what makes me think the GC1 trailer was the best of the three.

I also remember that the first trailer initially challenged low end GPUs pretty heavily and they had to tweak it to make it better.

One thing worries me, though. The trailer for GC3 leaves me wondering if GC3 will be the last of the series. I hope not.

The series is definitely limited. Frogboy said in this post, that there are four chapters left. Depending on how many of those chapters they will handle in it, GalCiv 3 might be the last game in the series. If not, then it is pretty close to the end.

Well, This may be the end of the line sort of games, the series has evolved to match the epic space games of the ages. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the final release before they move on to a new series or perhaps even go further with the sins of a solar empire.

Yes, I would be sad if this series had to end, but I think considering the 2nd one was based off of the 70's vision of space empires, this series maybe due for a retirement, unless they manage to drag on a sequel after the end of the universe occurred.

Or maybe I am just being optimistic. Then again I don't have a clue, nobody does.

Except, perhaps, for Brad. At least he may have a vision on how far he wants to go with it.

If it becomes the anticipated "nice earner", I think GalCiv IV is a given in due time - I have a feeling he's in love with GalCiv as much as an Owner/Programmer can be.

Constructing a storyline along the lines of ....

"After the violence of the final climatic battle, unknown to the Terran Alliance, a massive worm hole was opened up to a parallel universe where the Brutal Zargassian Alliance,  and subjugated allies, saw their opportunity to mount a surprise attack through the worm hole ...... forced back to the Terran System, the Terran Alliance barely survived the brutal onslaught .... "

Rinse and repeat GalCiv with a brand new set of enemies and refreshed weapons blah blah....

Well .... one can dream .... stranger things have happened....

Burried somewhere in the GalCiv2 Forums there are several posts from Brad stating that he was going for a trilogy which would mean this saidly would be the last of the series, however, with that being said, he's the CEO so he can make as many as he wants :) and change his mind as many times as he'd like B)

He is susceptible to bribery and corruption?

We could do an Inter-Galactic whip-round ..... if that fails, send in the Ninja's XD

Or convince him with his pocket book, make Galactic Civilizations III the largest selling game in Stardock History :)

He can always go the Douglas Adams route, too. "The fifth game in the increasingly inaccurately named Galactic Civilizations series...."
