Hollow Man Hollow Man

The title pretty much says it all. It looks like if we go to order, it's distributed digitally, but it doesn't say via what service (now that the days of Stardock Central and Impulse are long gone for Stardock), and if we'll have the option to buy a physical copy.

I thought it may be delivered directly by Stardock but I could be wrong.  My previous game (Galactic Civilizations 2) is downloadable off of their website, (although I bought this before Gamestop bought their download services)

I could be wrong.  But either way I can't wait for another great game to come out.  On a side note... I really think I may need to work on a better computer...

We haven't done a physical release in a long while, and I believe Brad has posted about how we are digital-only.

Yeah, wishful thinking on my behalf. Gotta be some nice art about though for you guys to whip up a jewel case insert?

I don't have Steam hatred. I've been a user since day one, to install Counter-Strike 1.6. Just because you don't have to use it again doesn't mean it's not drm.

Regardless, I started the thread simply to ask how the game is being distributed. Note I never said anything good nor bad regarding the answer that was given to me. The fact that this has gotten derailed into an argument regarding what is drm, what isn't, whether a service should be used to install the game or not, is irrelevant to my question.

Bother.  I'd really hoped this would be available through GameStop.  While it's less reliable than it was while it was Impulse, at least it's not Steam.

The frigging Steam client slows down my computer so much that games I've purchased through it are basically unplayable, to the point that I've gone and found physical copies and paid twice.  (Yes, the physical versions run about two to three times as fast, based on load time for the game.)

I was really excited when I heard GalCiv 3 was happening, too.

excellent, steam is a great way to go.

How about possibility of founder or collector edition epub manual?

The steam client doesn't do anything since it's just a lite app on top of a browser. It only sucks up resources when it's patching. If your games are unplayable, its nto steam.
