Tactics for killing a levelled up Vasari Loyalist Titan supported by a fleet?

Out of curiosity, what is the best way to kill a level 6+ Vasari Titan? Assume this is versus a capable human player and that this is a fleet vs fleet engagement.

With the Maw, I assume that a conventional fleet is totally ineffective. That and it has Desperation stacks so again a massed fleet may not work well.

Corvettes? Maybe massed carriers supported by capital ships and your own Titan (I was playing as Advent Rebel - the AR Titan seems to be lethal against fleets, but not so effective against enemy Titans) for a game. The big issue with using massed capital ships is that once the enemy Titan takes heavy damage, they'll jump out and use their fleet (or what's left) to screen the Titan so that you cannot pursue (capital ships are slow and strike craft need to be able to get through the fleet screening the Titan). Granted, the enemy fleet will likely die, but their Titan will live.

Second question, how effective is the ability Desperation compared to say, Chastic burst?

Corvettes and strikecraft definitely do it fastest, since they can not be killed with Maw or Desperation. With carrier cruisers though you have to constantly be on alert for the titan micro phase jumping to your carriers and then mawing them. Very expensive to lose them that way.

Capitalships, especially antimatter draining one like the Dunov are also a good choices against most titans (just not the Coronata), though they are more for weakening the enemy titan than directly killing it.

If possibly, try to get the enemy titan to attack one of your planets with a phase jump inhibitor. While this might not work with a huge fleet, if he cannot destroy all the inhibitors it will me difficult for him to jump out of the gravity well. Otherwise, if you use Corvettes they can easily run down any weakened capitalship or titan, you'll just need to make sure he doesn't deploy a phase gate to retreat to his core planets.

Yeah I guess luring would be the best way.

I think as TEC Rebel, you've got considerably more options. Their Titan does well against enemy Titans. It may be one of the few instances that it is worth deploying Kols - to engage enemy Titans. I'd agree that Dunov would work well.

Not so sure about the Advent though. The Loyalist Titans are quite strong. Not so sure what the best combo of capital ships is going to be.

Probably a combo of all of them.

Progenitor for Malice (not so much to kill the Titan as the ships around it) and to res lost capital ships

Rapture for a combination of the abilities plus to MC enemy support ships (esp Overseers)

Carriers for the drones

Discord as well for it's abilities

Is it worth bringing a Radiance to help soak up the incoming damage?

Either way, between phase missiles and this VL Titan, Advent have it tough late game vs Vasari.

Snipe and scatter shot for -8 armor (I think it works on titans) definitely helps. Just beware human players will try to flank your Ragnarov to avoid its abilities.

Honestly I find the Marza does better in almost all cases, even if they aren't as good against a single titan, they'll destroy the enemy fleet extremely quickly making killing the titan much easier.

I always view Progens as healing ships first an foremost, Malice is just an extra goodie if you happen to have more antimatter than you need.

The Rapture is fun and can be extremely powerful if you're relying on carriers thanks to its passive, but honestly even mine control isn't all the impressive (especially if your Advent Loyalists, your titan is much better at stealing frigates). I would build more than 1, and even then only if you really like the ship.

No, but you still want a Radiance for detonate antimatter. Like the Dunov for the TEC, it is the only Advent ship that can drain titan antimatter.

Everyone hates the VL titan, but no disagreements here.
