Lore

Ala Star Wars Expanded Universe

Is there a database which details the various units/races of Sins of a Solar Empire, similar to Star Wars' Databank/Wookiepedia/Expanded universe? I am just a nerd for those details :)

You can try the lore section on this site or the wiki for individual units, but Sins isn't nearly as popular as Star Wars is, and is kind of vague on a lot of things.

yes of course, but developers appear to have put a lot of effort in making the game :) I am sure they have tons of material.

They say they do, but they haven't released it.  ;)

I kinda expected that, unfortunately :P

We should start a petition to have more lore released!

no, what I mean is stuff like Wookiepdia

which states how long would a ship be, how many armaments etc

I'd love developers to share this kind of "real-life" info with us. If anything, for the Titans!

Ahhh, you want hard core technobabble. Ship sizes has been one of the on-going issues with Sins for the longest. As one of the fan-lore writers, we used ship complements to figure out ship sizes. Example...

Does it look like this TEC Colony frigate can hold 500 people. It looks like it can barely carry the 189 troops marching to it from the Rebellion trailer. Any "hard" facts came from the gaming community in order to add continuity in the fan fiction.

As far as weapon load outs for the various ships, again. From what is established in game, we have elaborated in fanfic as far as damage, weapon power. And of course, a lot of embellishment...

Nope, if it was. Why make and sell Star Trek Technical Manual of the Enterprise.(Which I have a copy of), and Star Wars of the same,(I have a copy of that too. Geek cred a 1000%)

Just to eleborate on that, the reason ship complements is used is because about the only detail we know for certain, thanks to the Rebellion manual which I would consider the only "Canon" source, except from more obvious things that can be learned in game (the Kortul battleship has the greatest energy output of any cap is probably a good inference to make from its power surge ability). The manual is located in the install directory as a PDF file.

ahh I'm glad I'm not alone :D

care to post a random: capital ship, titan, starfighter, frigate, space station stats, from what you believe is the most accurate fanfic source?
