original game update options

Hi

 

I just bought a copy of sin of a solar empire the original version at Maplins.

 

After reading up on the game I understand there are 2 expansion plus a new standalone version.

 

My question is: Can I buy entrenchment either retail or download on its own, or do I now have to buy trinity to get entrenchment?

It does seem that you need to either get Trinity or Rebellion. However, as the expansions by themselves never went on sale, you can actually get both for less then the cost of both expansions if you wait for a steam sale or trade for a steam coupon.

Thanks for the reply.

On this version of the game there is an option to upgrade to either entrenchment or diplomacy, the links are no longer valid. I guess that's what you get in buying such an old game. I guess I missed it when it came out as I was playing City of heroes back then.

I looked in gamestop and steam and can only find trinity or rebellion. So I guess you have confirmed my thoughts.
