LH 66 % off on Steam Daily Deal

Gotta love Steam sales.

Apparently, owners of FE cannot purchase the game currently, as the discounts are causing a negative price to show up when checking out.

Yeah the discount stack actually had it available for 9.99 for existing owners until now. Now existing owners are unable to buy it at all. Disappointing since I really hoping to finally upgrade to it.

I own FE but not through Steam since I got it directly from Stardock. Does that mean that I am not going to be able to get the FE owner discount on the Steam sale if I buy LH?

I'm in the same boat as you.  I was waiting to get this on a daily deal but now it won't let me purchase it at all!  All I can do is hope that either Steam or Stardock can do something about this ASAP!

Thadar

Edit:  Well, they fixed the issue, but now I just won't buy it.  They removed the stack component, so now it will cost me $13.59 to upgrade.  I never expected to get it for free, but figured they would do 66% off the already 50% off price, not just remove the 50%.  Weird.

Edit 2:  Well, $9.99 now and it is cheaper than what new owners can buy it for.  I will probably pick it up, but it is disappointing that I could have picked it up for this same price a week ago.  Having this as a daily deals actually does nothing for me.  Meh, cheaper is cheaper I suppose.  The question below is a good one though: "Is this the cheapest prior FE owners can expect to receive LH for?"

We've contacted them.  It will be fixed as soon as possible.

Over on the Steam forums I noticed a lot of people saying that previous owners of FE got a 75% discount for LH. I do not recall seeing this as an option for LH on my wishlist (otherwise I would have purchased it when it released). I'm wondering, will the 75% discount return for previous owner once the sale is over or is my only option for a cheaper price the 66% off?

Thanks.

It's now back to what it was before the sale for existing owners. 75% off. Can we get a confirmation from Stardock that it's the cheapest we can ever expect it to be with our existing owner discount? Since I could see this issue coming up every time this game goes on sale.

Ok, the purchase issue is fixed.

If you own FE, then you will be able to purchase Legendary Heroes for $9.99 which is cheaper than what the daily sale would be.

Yep, I can confirm it is now $9.99 (I swear I've never had that option before....bizarre!)

Thanks for the update Island Dog, on my way to purchase now :)

I own FE and I am not able to purchase it for $9.99. Can you please tell me how to do this?

Thanks.

This is not true, I have the same price as I had before this daily deal. I live in Europe and we got higher prices, if that's related.

Do you have FE on Steam?

The price now for FE owners is what it was before the daily sale.  It's still cheaper than what a first-time buyer will pay.

While true, I have to say that it is disappointing to see "Daily Deal" on Fallen Enchantress LH and have it be...the same price.  =/

No, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, I have the FE version that came directly from Stardock. Does that mean I can't get the discount?

The issue will come up again every time the game goes on sale for 50% off or more. Unless it's changed from a stacking discount to a discount of the actual current sale price. I don't how that is done but Stardock might want to bring it up with Steam to save themselves headache in the future.

Why no dlc sale?

Any word on this. I know sometimes they are late to update it, but seems weird to pay almost as much for these two small packs as the entire game. Was the DLC submitted for a sale and I should wait for an update? Will probably skip them otherwise.

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat and am now feeling particularly pissed off.

I bought FE early when it was in beta, direct from Stardock thinking I was supporting the game and the developers. Now I find that, thanks to my early support and all my money going to Stardock (rather than Steam getting their 30%) if I want to buy LH I would have to pay $19.99 whereas those who bought later and through Steam can now get it for $9.99.

What a great way to repay customer loyalty.

While it sucks, its actually only $13.59, so really you are only spending ~$4 more than people who bought FE on steam.

Actually no, as I live in the UK I would have to pay £10.19, which is $15.47 at current rates (The Stardock store is only ever in USD though), so I'm paying more than 50% more.

The game is currently being offered in the Stardock store at $19.99, regardless of whether you bought FE through them. When it was $39.99 I could get it at a 50% discount as an FE owner, so why do I not get any discount now, as Steam owners do?

TBH, it's not the $5.47 that tees me off, it's the message it sends and what it says about how Stardock values (or rather doesn't value) me as one of their direct customers but will happily chase all that Steam cash.

Island Dog  can you as Stardock give discount(for FE LH) in Stardock Store for loyal players who buy FE in Beta stage ? (for next 2 days ?) Also some small discount for dlc (10-20%) wolund be a nice move(for all players who buy FE in Beta and FE LH in beta) ???

I promote FE and Stardock on this forum  http://mmorpg.pl/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=40258  (for polish players). Many of them, trust on my opinions and buy FE in Beta (and dont get steam key). All of them support (Stardock) and now they cant buy FE LH with discount...

Shouldn't the discounts stack?  Owners of FE should be getting LH for $6.80, which is 50% off the current Steam price.  Otherwise there was no point at all to the daily deal for previous owners since it was $9.99 during the entire sale.

Ding! Ding! Ding!  Give the man his prize!

There's no point in the daily deal for FE owners.  They are already getting a great deal.

Not for customers who buy FE in beta from SD (no discount for them)

Include the old FE Scenario maps in  LH. It makes no sense not to.
