Super Weapon Toggle?

Hey guys,

Sorry I've only just installed SoaSE again (having an absolute blast) but I was wondering how to turn off super weapons if at all possible?

Also I was wondering if scouts have a toggle mode that allows it to do a mine sweep in grav wells?? (maybe a toggle switch between do nothing/mine sweep and auto explore)

Anyway Im a little afraid of playing online just yet (not looking forward at getting smashed) but still love the game like no tomorrow.

Mine sweep is a passive. No need to toggle anymore. Just move the scout in range and have attack on auto.

There is no toggle for superweapons.

I've changed scouts to an active minesweep ability so they can clear mines them in my Enhanced 4X Mod. There is also an optional minimod for it that will disable superweapons.

Understand minesweep is a passive ability but it would be nice that it would auto hunt for mines in grav well instead but thats just my 2 cents.

Also thanks Goa ill have a look at the mod, though Im not very up to date with how they work or anything.

Either way thanks to both of you for at least answering my questions :)

Yeah, sorry we don't have your ideal answer to that question.

I give the basics on installing mods in my Rebellion Steam Guide. There's plenty of good info on the modding subforum of this site as well, or just feel free to post any questions here.

Thanks Goa, I had a play around with some different mods (starwars mods are awesome) though I did run into a little problem with Requiem in which the star destroyers became invincible.... pretty funny watching 50+ corvettes pounding on it without it's shields being depleted.

I want to try out that star trek mod and your mod also.  Its almost like a brand new game with each mod.

In relation to the starwars mods who would I give feedback to?

SoaGE - love the total conversion, really enjoy the super large battles, personally would love it to be a little faster paced though with reduced costs of ships,  I find the early game can be super slow and maybe its just me wanting the action to be just that... constant :)

Requiem - love the fact that you can play against the old races which is really super neat and cant wait for the update that will add the second titan to the 2 sides.

Both mods have threads on this forum and websites. For Requiem, I'd post on their forums (I don't think you need to register for an account), while SoGE seems to prefer their thread here.

There is also a good chance there'll be even more Star Wars mods in the future. Ironically I used to work on Requiem back in Diplomacy, when the mod was more complete (they rebuilt it from the ground up after I left), and will be adding a Star Wars addon to my mod hopefully this year. There's a few guys migrating their mods from Empire at War to Rebellion, so we might see another mod or two come out of that, assuming EA/Disney doesn't sue us all first.  ;)

Thats awesome! thanks again for linking all those, they make a fantastic read and really looking forward to see the improvements.

I am also very excited for your starwars mods and wish I could help out but dont have any skills in any department that could help :( (have 0 tech background).

I didnt have much time last night but started playing the Star Trek mod (Star Trek SoA2) which is really fun also.  Ive got your mod d/l so will be having a play tonight.

Again thanks for all the info and help.

Cheers
