Are XP bonuses cumulative?
It goes something like 15->20->25%. After three levels is your EXP boosted by 25% total, or is it 15+20+25 = 60% bonus?
Also, does it stack with the +25% boost in the Mage tree?

This topic hits on two great points:
1. Whether or not the bonuses are cumulative is confusing in its current state, further compounded by how they're displayed on a given unit since only the highest trait is displayed.
2. The different trees require you to follow them down too far, while also having quite a few bad options to choose from. It certainly seems that specializing a hero in one area is the intent here. I don't mind that, but you feel so restricted and sometimes "waste" a pick just to get to a good one later (assuming you can ever get there).
I have a table of the experience values required to reach the next level for levels 1-9 and 12-21, plus interpolation for levels 10 and 11 (which I made for FE 1.32, so it might not be entirely accurate anymore - I have not checked). I posted it in one of the other champion experience threads, if you want to look for it. I sum them up and add in the bonuses where required, and then look for the point where the experience gain from the Potential/Knowledge traits is sufficient to give you enough extra levels that you compensate for investing some levels into those traits. It's a comparison of how much unboosted experience equates to how much boosted experience, with an assumption that at the points where you've gained experience-boosting traits you had no residual experience from the level-up.
For example, a champion who takes Potential I at level 3 and doesn't take any other experience boosters will have gained sufficient extra experience to be at level 21 at the time when they would normally have reached level 20.

i think there's a new mechanic in LH now that also reduces the XP gain when your army is stronger than the other. don't really know how that works. by gaining a higher level, i guess this mechanic might reduce the bonus XP even further. bottom line is still - remove the traits- they are a trap.
