ccomplet shut down with no warning

so I have been playing for several hours today and on two seperat occasions one without even saving and one not long after saving the game just shut down no warning or anything did not go into the lower tray to be pulled back up just disappeared off screen has this happened to anyone else after long stints of game play and what did you do to combat it?

Sounds like it ran out of memory?  Try turning down your graphics settings.

had not thought of that, wish there was a way to modify my background running programs to free up memory without crashing my system LOL

Not unless you really, really know what you're doing. ;-) It probably wouldn't free up that much anyway, so is rarely worth the risk.

What you can safely do though is close any foreground/desktop apps, eg web browser, mail client, media player, document editor etc. That should free up some memory - it's surprising just how much memory some apps require these days.

I am not running anything but my game it is frustrating guess I will just have to save extreamly frequently

If your max is 2 gigs then Sins will never recieve the full 2 gigs. Since just using Windows alone will eat into that. Consider buying some extra RAM. It's like really cheap these days. Just gotta make sure it is compatible with your motherboard.
