Would it be possible for those of us that got a free copy of the game to get a key to activate it on steam?
I like to try and keep all my games in one central location.

The answer is no. Been that way for the entire beta process. You can add non-steam games to steam by the way. Updates will have to go through stardock though.
Not quite sure what the beta process has to do with it (I bought Elemental when it came out, the first one and have been in the beta process)
It is not a pleasant experience downloading the game through Stardock. Final .exe is corrupt.
For whatever reason, map pack install fubared my game directory and I am having to reinstall.
