Tactical battle: Relias stuck in an isolated corner?

Suspect bugs

I played FE Campaign (senario)

having ~ 14 person in team shortly after Chapter 10 (I thought max is 9?)

Relias is based in an isolated dark corner in starting a tactical battle,

can cast spells but cannot move, very weird, screenshots link below:

Version: FE 1.02

Not sure anyone faced this?

Maybe this is the issue? AFAIK there is a limited number of spawn locations on a tactical map. But it only looks like there is 9 (including Relias) in that battle. So long as you went including the multiple people in each of the Units as a single person (which gives a headcount of 14).

This is due to a bug caused by the hero-mechanic of the campaign, the tactical maps are set up with pre-determined spawn locations for units, and mots tactical maps have 9 on them, so excess units will die, or end up out there where relias was placed.
Some tactical maps allow for more units to spawn, mostly the maps where you defend your town from attacks (so there is space for city militia).

Try to strip down your unit group to maximum 9 units if possible.
You really wish you could resign some of those bloody heroes now, right? ^_^

Thanks all, thought I am the only one having this? 8(|  Hope Devs are reading this...

This seems like a major flaw  on the original game, really before we debate on what "fantastic features" should be added etc,

the basic game have to be playable or otherwise..."broken"? :omg:

I would suggest a cap on max team number (9 as max) to avoid this or if possible enlarge the tactical map (with 18 as max) for long term bigger battles consideration.

(having 14 people team was a big fun anyway - epic feeling like commanding small army  not just same, repeating battles which being nerfed because the of the focus of strategic layer - we can always click automate battle to focus on strategic layer right?)

You have to understand, the campaign is not really the 'basic game'. It is just a scenario built on top of the 'basic game' that twists the base rules somewhat.

The real 'basic game' is the sandbox mode. And in the sandbox mode, you already have a cap of 9 units in any single army. So this bug does not affect the basic game, only the scenario(think of it as a 'mod' if it helps) that changes the base rules of the game to fit the story it tells.

I noticed this too on random large map, upper corner in strategic map along with two other factions on normal difficulty. There still minor bugs in the game, my hero wasnt immune to poisons like it should be with hardy traits (+1 hp per level and 100 immune to poison). Spiders almost killed her with poisons lol.

Anyway like the game, just need more ground works here.

So true ;)
I wish they would fix these things rittled over the place, its sad that I have to explain to my friends where and what bugs they should not run into when showing them the game and letting them try it...

Have seen a similar thing in sandbox mode in city assaults, against a Gilden AI who had developed its cities to a high level so that they were defended by hordes of militia, a catapult and a large number of stationed units and heroes. Lord Markin was supposedly present in the battle, but not anywhere I could see or target him, even after killing all other units. I had to end the battle with autoresolve after being unable to find him.

Ran into it in the campaign too, similar to what's described in the OP except I couldn't see him at all (but may just have not been looking hard enough).

I'm having the exact same issue as the OP. Did a google search for it and ended up here. Each group of 3 disciples is 1 unit and so only takes a single spawn point though so it doesn't make sense to me that that is the issue.

Edit: Finished the scenario. Near as I can tell, some tactical battle maps only have 8 spawn points. =/
