You asked us to find a way to cut the shipping costs and we have! By removing ONLY the external box for the Collector's Edition, we have been able to dramatically cut the overall cost and have passed those savings onto you.

What else has changed?
We will be offering 3 bundles, in addition to the "Full Collector's Edition."

I went to the Collector's Edition page, and can't order...WHY?!?!?
We are making final adjustments now until Monday, October 8, 2012. Purchases (that's right, no more pre-orders...) will begin Monday, October 8, 2012. Credit cards will be charged starting October 8, 2012, orders will begin to ship the week of October 15, 2012.

Question, the game dvd, does it have to be activated by Steam or will it run without it....

I have had it told to me numerous times that the game will still require Steam to run, even on the disc.

 

I think this splitting of the collector's edition into bundles is a great idea. I hope the box was not a big loss...

I just did the confirm my original order thing and it said thanks, your order will ship in october. Do I still need to go back and reorder it piece by piece or will the whole thing as I ordered it before come to me now? I must know!!

I must have ALL the things.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong but after confirming using the link that Yarlen posted up in the OP above, I believe you just go here https://store.stardock.com then Login, My Account, My Pre-Orders, View Details and it should show you what has been pre-ordered. Mine is showing correctly after following these steps.

Nooo don't do it at 8 october D: Do it a few days later!!!(Paypal takes a week to transfer money to them D:(If possible to buy with paypal at all) 

Anyway, this is AMAZING! Very well done!  If i get to be lucky enough I'll definetly buy the kol model bundle or mousepad bundle :D 

 

(Btw, is there a chance extra costs will come onto that price at our borders here in europe? Would suck if the price suddenly rises due to borders and it gets send back...)

What if someone, namely me is like DAMN THE SAVINGS I WANT MY BOX DAMN IT!!!!

I had it preordered and it was canceled, so now I have to order again, and I want EVERYTHING! I didn't care that I was paying like 90+ Dollars, I want my whole complete CE with everything including all Packaging.

How do I go about getting that.

EDIT: BTW, if I CAN'T get my box, I am going to personally kick the asses of every whiny little B!&*H A$& who complained about the shipping costs and screwed me out of my box.

EDIT2: Sorry to be so angry but I was looking forward to a complete unopened CE with box, and it doesn't look like there is an option for that now, AND my Preorder was canceled, so now I have to reorder from a diminished set of options. I want my box, take my money!!!

for :people like me: this saves about 50-70% on shipping costs probaly, and the box doesn't matter too much to me ;p But indeed, for :people like you: the box could be added into another bundle with EVERYTHING :)

 

Btw, why is the kol model bundle+mousepad bundle more expansive than the complete bundle? :|

Yes, the game would still require Steam and a Steam key.  That bundle simply doesn't include another game key - you must/should already own Sins: Rebellion (assuming you're not just after the music CDs).

My understanding is that you'll probably need to pay VAT?

Sorry, but you'll probably need to do some ass kicking.  The box was uber-expensive (like $26), so without making the bundle changes, we were actually going to be losing our shirts pretty bad.

Won't it still require a cardboard box anyway?  I don't see any point about complaining over a box.  Maybe a box would have been nice, but those who wanted a cheaper collector's edition wanted lower prices, and that meant deleting something.  You'll still have the stuff that would have come in the box, at least.  So stop complaining about what you won't get.

Yeah. I like boxes as much as any other collector's edition box fan, but in the end it is just a box and it is what come inside that really counts.

I truly wanted the box for my Sins shrine as well.  Would it be possible to publish the art (that would have covered the box) as a download that we could take to Kinkos, print and make our own Collectors Edition box?
