Why is the Colectors Edition news not on Steam?

After reading the thread on the CE I realized that I never got an email even announcing it, I just happened to see the thread and then I ordered.

Why not post an announcement on Steam?  That is where I get most of the news anyway about the game.

I think that is a good question. The Collector's Edition is technically a 'Physical DLC Pack' anyways. :-)

I mean the last news item before the update was about that moronic company suing stardock for using the word 'rebellion' so I am sure it can be posted.  Just want them to do well, if not and I have order another then oh well, I like the model :)
