If you've truly "had this game since release; Ive always played online" then the multiplayer regulars should recognize you if you tell them which names you used to go by; if you were decent they surely know you and would let you play.

Even when you're on the flank? Sounds completely believable.  

Regardless if you have at least 15 or so games and show that you have a halfway decent idea of how to play (ship counters, eco role, suicide role), there shouldn't be problems. And given the somewhat newer playerbase Rebellion has at the moment, many games seem to be letting nearly anyone play - and if you're still somewhat new to multiplayer you should be balanced out by newer players on the other team.

I know what you mean. But the problem is i havent played for a few years. Only a few people vaguely remember me by my old user name-Voruk. Im really only talking about the "5s skilled only games".Its maddening to be discriminated against with false prejudices. And yes, Depending on who im facing, ie frequently reached 100 c/sec on the flank. But thats when im playing with skilled players that feed to make that possible. Again, I simply wish to play with those whose skill i feel ive reached, and not some body who doesnt know what a trade port is..

Its really just impossible to get through to you red. it makes me sad.  you gotta read what i said your missing the part about

You dont have to let me in your skilled games. Thats fine. But ill be here if you change you mind. 

Only way u can change my mind is if u upload a replay when ur playing against good/known people.

I'm gonna have to go with Ruby on this one. If you think a fleet of 6 caps is a good idea or think you regularly get 100 cred/sec while on the flank vs decent enemies... something's wrong. Play against some newer players for a few more games to learn the game a little better before trying to venture into skilled games.

A fleet of 6 caps work with endgame advent setup...
